Congratulations to our Children’s Department, which won the New Jersey State Library’s Best Practices in Early Literacy Program Award for our Scribble Time program! We’re very proud of their accomplishment!
Our next Scribble Time! program is Monday June 16, 11-11:30 am. If you’re interested in coming, you must register. You can do so here.
Scribble Time! is a first introduction to crayons, paint, and glue, along with a story and a rhyme or two. This program is more about the experience than the product: Children will enjoy using the materials provided even though it may not result in something to hang on the refrigerator at home. As an added benefit, they will increase vocabulary as we talk about these creative experiences. Parents and children should plan to wear comfortable clothing that can get messy.
This is a new program for children ages 1 to 3 years accompanied by a parent.
Please register CHILD ONLY so we can plan enough materials and space.
Registration begins two weeks before the program date.
The same project is offered on both dates each month. Please plan to attend only one.
