Our summer reading challenge for 2023 officially begins today, June 19th! Readers of all ages are invited to log their number of pages read or time spent reading for a chance to win gift cards and other other great prizes. Please see the challenge descriptions below for the appropriate age group.
Children (Ages Newborn – 12)
Children ages newborn-12 are invited to join our Summer 2023 Reading Challenge! Our theme is “All Together Now: A Community of Kindness”. Read all together this summer! Log the books you read to earn digital badges and incentive rewards from our Treasure Chest.
It’s easy! Just keep track of time spent reading or listening to audiobooks. Read anything you want! Read to a younger sibling and the reading counts for BOTH of you. Log your reading time, earn terrific Treasure Chest prizes each week, plus free books and a really cool “Bee Kind” Franklin Library Tote bag and matching waterbottle! Helps the planet reduce waste and helps you tote your library books around!
First day challenge begins is June 19. Last day to log reading is August 14. Last day to pick up prizes will be Sept 30, 2023.
Teens (Ages – 12)
Teens ages 12-18 are invited to join our Summer 2023 Teen Reading Challenge! Read all together this summer! Log the books you read to earn badges and rewards.
Read for your chance to win one of three grand prizes – $50 Amazon gift cards!
It’s easy! Just keep track of time spent reading or listening to audiobooks. Ready anything you want! Log your reading time, earn raffle tickets and prizes. See all of the great raffle options when you click on “Tickets”. The more you read, the more raffle tickets you will earn to put towards these great prizes!
Adult (Ages 18+)
The Adult Reading Challenge is open to all active cardholders ages 18 and up. Participants can earn badges by logging their reading, submitting book reviews, or completing activities. Each badge is worth five tickets that can be entered into three different prize drawings where 20 lucky winners will be chosen! All winners notified the week of August 14th. The last day to pick up prizes will be Sept 11, 2023.
One page of reading = one minute of reading or listening to an audiobook!
