What is the Summer Reading Program?
Each year, the Library provides a summer reading program to our community to encourage children to read for fun and to keep using all of the skills they’ve learned in school over summer vacation!
Our 2022 theme is Oceans of Possibilities and the program runs from June 20th through August 12th.
Starting June 20th, you can earn awesome prizes by reading and completing fun activities.
Who can participate?
Anyone between the ages of 0-12 years.
How do I register?
Registration begins on June 20, 2022. Simply go to www.franklintwp.org and click the Summer Reading link at the top of the page. Choose Kids Reading Program!
You can register for our online Summer Reading Program using ReadSquared (our summer reading website) to log reading and earn prizes. For every 100 minutes that you read (all books/magazines/audio or e-books — they all count!), you earn a prize. Prizes can be picked up at the location (DeMott, Franklin Park or Lewis Street) that you indicate at registration.
You can also pick up a paper reading log packet at our Children’s Reference Desk at DeMott Lane if you’d like to use the log to keep track of your reading.
Registration continues until Friday, Aug 12.
