Welcome to the Story Trail!
An outdoor, socially distanced program at the Franklin Township Public Library for children accompanied by an adult
Recommended for Ages 3 – 6 Years
Wednesday, October 28 OR Wednesday, November 4
At the Main Library on DeMott Lane, Weather permitting
Family group times are available at 10:30, 10:45, 11:00, 11:15, 11:30, 11:45, and 12:00 noon. Register your family for the time that is best for you and allow 30 minutes for the program. You will travel the Story Trail with your own family group.
Here is what you need to know:
Registration is required. Registration times will be staggered so that only one family group at a time will be at any given station. Registration begins two days before the program.
Masks are required. Even though we are outdoors and will do our best to maintain social distancing, for safety all participants are required to wear masks. The librarians will remove their masks to read the story and then put them on again.
Beach towels (or bath towels) are required. Children are asked to bring their own beach towel to sit on – no picnic blankets. Adults in your group who need to sit may bring a lawn chair.
IMPORTANT: If you or anyone in your family group has a fever or cold symptoms, PLEASE DO NOT COME – we will do this again and you will have another opportunity to attend. Call the Children’s Desk to cancel so that another family may have the spot.
Seating will be 2 feet behind the garden fence at each station in order to keep a safe distance. (The librarian will be 6 feet away on the opposite side of the garden fence).
Please be on time so that we can keep a smooth flow on the story trail!
Upon arrival, check in at the Children’s Desk. You should allow extra time to park and enter the library so that you arrive at the Children’s Desk at the appointed time.
Upon checking in, you will be directed to an outside door at the beginning of the Story Trail. Wait outside the door until the librarian at the first station beckons you to come over.
After the first story at the first station, the librarian will direct you to follow the trail to the next station.
Questions? Call the Children’s Desk at the Main Library (732-873-8700, option 4).
