October is National Reading Group Month

October is National Reading Group Month! Reading groups are more important than ever in our socially distanced world, as they bring members together over the love of shared reading, great books, and great conversation. These groups are about more than discussing the book’s plot only; they are a chance for members to connect through their individual and shared experiences, goals, interests, and lives in general.

If you are looking to finally start your own reading group, or are looking for your club’s next pick, the library can help with that! We currently have well over 100 book club kits available for checkout that come complete with 10 copies of each book and a resource folder (discussion questions, author information, etc.) to help you start the discussion. Take a look at the bookshelf above for some of our most popular selections! For our complete list of titles and for instructions on how to put one on hold today, please click here.

If you have any questions about any of the above, please call the Reference Desk at 732-873-8700 ext. 111, leave a comment below, or message us on our chat service (found on the bottom right of out website homepage).

Thanks for reading!
