While we can’t believe it has already come and gone, Makers Day 2019 was a big success! Over the course of the day (3/23), more than 300 people stopped by both library locations! Crafts and activities of many different kinds were available to attendees, including hospital cards, quilt squares, dream catchers, pet toys, and more. Robotics and circuitry were also prominently featured this year, including demonstrations of Spheros, Ozobots, Makey Makey kits, and Snap Circuits, as well as robot demonstrations courtesy of the Thomas Edison Energysmart Charter School Robotics Club and Central Jersey College Prep Charter School Robotics Team. Here are a few snapshots of the day’s activities:
We’d like to thank the following groups for helping our Makers Day 2019 so special:
- Second Chance for Animals
- Girl Scout Troop 60631
- Boy Scout Troop 113 for demonstrating knot tying
- Thomas Edison Energysmart Charter School Robotics Club
- Central Jersey College Prep Charter School Robotics Team
- Our 17 teen volunteers
Last but certainly no least, we’d like to thank you for attending! We hope to see you again next year for NJ Makers Day 2020!
Thanks for reading!
