As the days get blustery, bring your children to the cheery warmth of the Main Library for some fun!
First off, we have a new puppet theater in the Early Childhood Room so that you and your children can put on a show together. Puppet play helps children with language development.
On Sunday, November 4, at 2:00 p.m. bring the family with a blanket and a lunch or snack to share for our Family Film Picnic featuring Boss Baby (rated PG, 97 minutes).
On Thursday, November 6, at 11:00 a.m. bring three leaves with you to make leaf prints with the Gel Press! It’s first come, first served, but everyone who signs in before 11:30 a.m. will have a chance to create a special monoprint with this technique. This activity is recommended for ages 2 – 11 years.
When the public schools are closed, the library does something special: Join us all day for Community Coloring on November 8, 9, & 10!
Meet & Greet Playtime will gather on Tuesdays, November 13 and 27 from 10:30 to 11:30 for an informal chance to play, get to know the library, and meet new people.
Toddlers will explore stories and language development at Toddler Tales, which is held on Wednesday mornings at 10:45 a.m. This program is just right for little ones who have been attending the nursery rhyme programs and might be ready for something more.
And that’s not all! For the complete schedule, along with programming at the Branch Library, go to the “Events & Meetings” tab on the library’s website.
