As our summer reading program draws to a conclusion, we have one more surprise for you: Drop-in Coloring!
Stop in at the Main Library to add your coloring skills to our tabletop poster in front of the Children’s Desk. We have special colored pencils available (parents, please supervise your little ones who take part).
All ages are welcome to participate, from toddlers to adults, as we build layers of color on the many pictures in this poster. Feel free to add more coloring to something that was started by someone else, so we have layers of color, dimension, and shading.
In addition to the poster, there are special coloring pages that feature houses and community buildings that can be colored at home or in the library and then cut out and assembled at home.
Remember to log your reading by Friday, August 18, and if you reach 1,000 minutes you are automatically entered into the end-of-summer raffle (there are usually 100 prize packages from which to choose). Call or visit the Children’s Desk at the Main Library to let us log your reading time if you have any difficulties for any reason!
