Summer Reading begins this week, and it kicks off with some special events for children:
Tuesday, June 13, at 7:00 p.m. – The Reading Connection features activities for beginning and emergent readers ages 4 – 11 years around the letter R. Parents and children will have fun with robot art, jelly bean science, and more! Please register online or call the Children’s Desk.
Wednesday, June 14, at 7:00 p.m. – First Fairy Tales: Storytelling for Little Ones will feature interactive storytelling for parents and children ages 2 – Adult. Registration is preferred.
Our big event on registration day, Thursday, June 15, at 7:00 p.m., is Robert Rogers Puppet Company presenting Skyscraper Acres, a special show with handcrafted puppets that illustrates the theme of our summer reading program, Build a Better World. All ages are welcome at this event, the more the merrier! We prefer that you register so that we have an idea on how many people to expect.
And here is a special surprise: Early Bird Registration for the Children’s Summer Reading Program for those who attend the programs on Tuesday, June 13, or Wednesday, June 14!
