October is a busy month in the Children’s area at the Main Library!
First up is the chance for kids ages 5 – 11 years to build creative structures at Lego Station on Monday, October 3, at 2:00 p.m. Sign up online or call the Children’s Desk during library hours to register.
Next we have the return of our award-winning program, The Reading Connection, on Tuesday evening, October 4, at 7:00 p.m. We will be having fun with the letter Q, and one of the activities will be making queen puppets like the ones in the photo. If you haven’t tried this family program, register online anytime or at the Children’s Desk during library hours (in person or by phone). This program is designed for ages 4 – 8 years with a parent.
Don’t sit down yet – come to Skip to my Lou! on Wednesday, October 5, at 7:00 p.m. and have fun as a family with favorite circle dances and books to sing.
During the school break on Wednesday, October 12, bring a picnic lunch or a snack to watch Hotel Transylvania 2 at 1:00 p.m. and you’ll be ready to celebrate Halloween with us at the end of the month. Please register for this event so that we can provide enough table space.
