The 2016 Summer Reading Program is “On Your Mark, Get Set – Read!” Registration begins June 15 either online or in person at either library location.
Kids spend time reading on their own, with family members, with friends, and log their reading time online.
Kids: Can you read 1,000 minutes?
A new prize level is reached at every 100 minutes up to 1,000. Our most popular prize is a trinket from the Library Treasure Chest, but a close second is a coupon for a free book from the on-going Children’s Book Sale!
Summer also includes special programming, including a return visit from our favorite magician, Banana Peel the Magnificent, and two of our favorite professional puppeteers, Tuckers’ Tales and Robert Rogers Puppet Company.
The summer fun begins with a family concert presented by award-winning singer/songwriter Patricia Shih on Tuesday, June 7, at 7:15 p.m.
Parents: Help your kids keep their learning skills sharp during the summer break by bringing them to the library! You can set a reading example by enrolling in the Adult Reading Program, “Exercise Your Mind.”
