Created in 1958, National Library Week is celebrated each April across the United States and is sponsored by the American Library Association. It is a week to celebrate the contributions of libraries and librarians, as well as promote library use and support. The theme for 2016 is “Libraries Transform”. Award-winning graphic novelist Gene Luen Yang is the Honorary Chair. Here’s what he had to say about libraries:
