The beginning of a new year is often a busy time, which means you may have missed some of our more recent news! Here’s a quick refresher on what’s new and exciting at the library:
- The library now offers two new ways to better manage your holds, including suspending a hold and setting a hold expiration date. You can find more info here.
- We’ve changed our eNewsletter platform and started sending mailings of Happenings @ FTPL via the Mailchimp service. To continue receiving monthly emails containing events, news and collection highlights, you must fill out the form by clicking here. Once you have filled out the form, please be sure to check your inbox and junkmail folders and accept future mailings from refdesk@franklintwp.org.
- The Winter Reading Program has begun. Adults and teens (12 & older) can earn up to 20 drawing tickets and enter to win one of four bi-weekly prize drawings. During each drawing, two winners will each receive a $15 gift certificate. Earn extra tickets by posting what you are reading to the library’s Facebook or Twitter using the #FTPLWinterRead2016. A grand prize drawing will be held on March 25th where two lucky winners will each receive a $50 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble!
- The Once Upon a Time Family Reading Program has begun. Register online or at the Children’s Desk. Read as a family- alone or together- for 15 minutes or more per day. Every day that you read, mark a square on the Bingo Board Reading Log (available at the library). When you complete a row on your board, log your reading at the library’s website and receive a trinket from the treasure chest.
