Are you and computers not always on the same page?  We can help! Attend one of our free computer classes, or come for 1-on-1 computer instruction.  If you missed Monday’s Intro to MS Excel 2007, the class is repeating later this month.  We also have an Internet basics class this month.

Registration is required for all computer classes and instruction as class sizes are strictly limited.

1-on-1 computer instruction is available several days this month at our Franklin Park location, which you can see on our calendar.  Register for one hour one-on-one instruction on the library computers. Training can include an introduction to using the mouse, navigating the Internet, and using email. Please specify your training interest when registering. Call the Franklin Park branch to register, 732-873-8700, ext. 5.  Attendance is limited to one hour long session per month.

Internet Basics is on Monday, May 18 from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.  This class will include a brief history and description of what the internet is and how to navigate it using a web browser.  We will do some basic searching and learn what makes up a good website. You are expected to know how to use a mouse before taking this class.

Intro to MS Excel 2007 is Saturday, May 30 from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.  Learn the basics of this popular software program designed for storing, organizing and manipulating data. This class will discuss the parts of a spreadsheet, including columns, rows and cells. Participants will create a basic spreadsheet during class.  You must be able to use a mouse and be familiar with basic computer concepts such as opening, closing, and re-sizing windows before taking this class.
