This is a small release week and I could only scrounge up two titles to really get excited about, both are sequel/series titles.
Another season of ABC’s Castle rapidly approaching means another book by the fictional character and pseudo-realistic author of that same series Richard Castle. The fourth entry of the Niki Heat series, Frozen Heat, hits this month, and as in the past is loosely based off events seen in the previous season of Castle. If you enjoy the television series be sure to check out the Richard Castle books to catch up before the new season starts.
Read the first 5 chapters here.
Brent Weeks is an up and coming author on the fantasy scene. Not quite a household name amongst genre readers his paperback series The Night Angel trilogy earned him a number of fans as well as a second book deal from the folks at Orbit. The first volume in Weeks’ new series The Black Prism released in 2010 and told an action packed story set in a world where magic is defined by the manipulation of wavelengths of light. It introduced the world to Gavin Guile, a prism who can manipulate all the various colors of the spectrum and the emperor who rules over the Seven Satrapies. Weeks now returns to that world in The Blinding Knife.
