Elton H. L. Wade and Family :
Alan and Edna Totten
Alan and Edna Totten are seated under the trees. Their chairs are mismatched wickerwork with cushions. The empty chair to Alan's right appears to be a solid wood rocking chair, also with a cushion. Alan's chair also appears to be a rocker. They are each holding what look to be sections of a newspaper. Alan is holding a pipe in his right hand. Edna is holding the funny pages. On the ground between the empty chair and Alan there is some sort of case on a long thin strap, quite possibly a camera case. The plants in the background include irises, their distinctive long, flat leaves protruding from the ground behind the camera case, and a weeping willow tree whose fronds can be seen between and over the couple.
